Is Hypnosis safe?
Hypnosis is completely safe and painless. Hypnosis is not the same as sleep, nor can you get ‘stuck’ in a state of hypnosis.
It is a soothing, relaxing and enjoyable experience, described by many as a sense of focused, centred peace.

How does Hypnotherapy work?
Hypnotherapy is treating with hypnosis. It is a natural and effective way of accessing your natural intelligence and reframing your mind with new instructions for progressive changes and enhancements in yourself and your life.

What happens in a session?
Your initial consultation takes approximately 50-60 minutes and it is charged at half the hypnotherapy session fee. It is an opportunity for us to discuss what you wish to achieve with hypnotherapy and for you to ask any questions you may have.
Subsequent sessions take 60-75 minutes approximately.

How many sessions will I need?
As hypnotherapy is a personalized treatment, the sessions are tailored to you – the number of sessions will vary depending on what you wish to change.  Some problems can be sorted out in just one session.
If you have any questions, call for a chat.

What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a natural state of deep relaxation, which we have all experienced at a different depth throughout our lives, a very common one being day-dreaming.
Hypnosis is a very safe, gentle and calming experience.  It works by making the link between your conscious and your subconscious mind. The conscious mind is your analytical, rational mind and your subconscious is responsible for your bodily functions, emotions memories and behaviour.

What it is NOT?
It is not the same as stage hypnosis.  It is important to realise that you are always in control – when in hypnosis you are conscious and remain in charge but are also deeply relaxed and calm, a feeling that is very similar to drifting into sleep.
Because you are conscious and aware of what is happening throughout the session, you only respond to suggestions the hypnotherapist gives you if you agree with them.
